A passion for terroir
Owner and winemaker of his family’s Châteauneuf du Pape estate since 2006, 'Guillaume Gonnet, Vigneron', was created by Guillaume and his Australian wife Kelly. Before joining his family as 3rd generation winemaker, Guillaume travelled the world working in some of the most famous wineries in Bordeaux, Burgundy, The Napa Valley, New Zealand and finally in Australia where he met his future wife. One of the first conversations the couple had was a long discussion about “terroir” and its expression in wine. Terroir refers to all of the enviromental elements that affect the quality of the grapes and, ultimately, the characteristics of the wine.
Guillaume Gonnet wines are brought to you by a couple of dreamers. Before meeting, Guillaume and Kelly travelled the world—snowboarding in the Rocky Mountains, making wine in Napa Valley, Bordeaux, and Burgundy, backpacking through South America, and journeying across Asia. Along the way, Guillaume worked in wineries across the globe, gaining experience and perspective that would shape their future.
Together, they built a life driven by curiosity and adventure. Guillaume Gonnet, a third-generation winemaker, and his Australian wife Kelly never stopped imagining what could come next.

They envisioned crafting their own Southern Rhône wines -pure, clean expressions of terroir. Wines that showcase the diversity and typicity of the region, with the finesse and elegance that define Guillaume’s signature style.
Step by step, they acquired vineyards in the appellation of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Today, their estate is largely based on the southeast side of the appellation, on renowned lieux-dits such as Les Combes, La Crau, and Croix du Bois.
Their vineyards are composed of old vines that have flourished under Guillaume’s organic farming methods. These parcels have developed into beautiful bush vines of Grenache Noir and Blanc, Syrah, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, and Clairette. Over time, their holdings have expanded into the AOP Côtes du Rhône and Côtes du Rhône Villages.
They farm north-facing vineyards in the department of Gard, producing Grenache and Syrah from terraced parcels that receive the same care and attention as their Châteauneuf-du-Pape estate.

They also sought to collaborate with growers who share their commitment to holistic agriculture and to expressing the finest qualities of Southern Rhône terroirs. Each wine reflects the unique identity of its appellation—honored and preserved through thoughtful winemaking. Guillaume believes that only a Gigondas can taste like a Gigondas, and they want their Vacqueyras to be instantly recognizable as a Vacqueyras. From these partnerships come wines from outstanding appellations such as Gigondas, Tavel, Lirac, Rasteau, Vacqueyras, Cairanne, and Beaumes-de-Venise.
They are committed to crafting wines with total respect for the earth in which the vines are grown. They imagine vineyards surrounded by garrigue, alive with the song of cicadas, and rich with insects, hares, pheasants, and robins.
They think of grapes harvested at perfect ripeness, bursting with expression, and of gently extracting their juice to create wines of purity and balance.
These wines are then aged in carefully selected vessels to preserve their character and enhance their complexity.
And they promised each other never to stop dreaming—because life is an adventure. These wines are the realisation of their dream. They hope their wines bring you joy, pleasure, and perhaps a little inspiration to follow your own path.
